DESCRIPTION
Textile Research Journal is an active peer-reviewed scientific journal currently published semi-monthly by Sage Publications. Launched in 1931 as the Bulletin of the United States Institute for Textile Research, it changed its name to Textile Research the following year, before obtaining its current title in 1945. The journal publishes fundamental, theoretical and applied scientific knowledge in materials, chemistry, manufacture and system sciences related to fibers, fibrous assemblies and textiles.
Each issue features research and review papers on the design, development and measurement of natural and synthetic polymeric materials, fibers, engineered fabrics and textiles. It also presents new concepts, innovative technologies, and improved understanding of textile materials, processes, chemistry and systems. Published papers cover fibers, fibrous assemblies, textiles, and other fiber-based materials such as nonwovens including novel, non-traditional applications, reinforced composites, geotextiles, filtration, transportation, health care and biomaterials, smart, intelligent, electronic, and nano applications.
The Internet Archive collection contains microfilm published between 1931 and 2010.
